Rising Gael - Stretched On Your Grave
I recently stumbled upon this group on CDBaby.com. It’s a great site to just explore. You can enter the name of a group you enjoy listening to, and it will recommend groups you might also like. It’s an amazing tool.
Rising Gael is a refreshingly contemporary group and one I would like to see live. They have a unique sound, and many of their tunes are delightfully inventive in their use of electronic and synthetic sounds. I believe they are a relatively new group and aren’t as tight live as they are on their album (of course), but they’re good for a listen, no matter where you stand on Traditional Irish music.
